Why Use Bond Paper?

Bond Paper is a type of paper typically used for writing, photocopying and printing. It is one of the most common type of paper available. Standard sizes are 8.5 x 11 inches (letter), 8.5 x 14 inches (legal) and 11 x 17 inches (tabloid).
Quality –
Some Bond Paper is made with cotton fibers in addition to wood pulp. The percentage of cotton, or “rag” as it is sometimes called, can range from 20 to 100 percent. Bond paper with rag content is the highest quality and is also the most expensive.
Uses –
Bond Paper has many uses. Bond Paper that is made with rag content is usually used for letterheads, envelopes and stationery. Fliers, letters, note pads and brochures are usually made from less expensive bond paper with no rag content. Regular Bond Paper Rolls are the paper of choice for use in copiers and printers.
Colours –
There is a wide range of colours available for regular bond paper. Bond paper with rag content is typically only available in white, ivory, cream and sometimes grey shades.
Weights –
Bond Paper has a variety of different weights. The weight range for Bond Paper is between 13 to 40 lbs. The most common Bond Paper weights are 20 and 24 lb.
